Brand Guide
Learn about best practices and download helpful assets for the River City Church brand. While there may be times that the rules are meant to be broken, following this guide will ensure the RCC identity and creative is consistent and recognizable. Strong and timeless.
Logo
The River City Church logo combines ripples of water with a classic crest to invoke themes of strength, refreshment, renewal, integrity, and timelessness. The shapes form a cross in the negative space: Christ is at the center of everything the church does and is.

Clearspace
Whenever possible, preserve negative space around the logo to ensure the brand mark doesn't visually compete with other design elements. A good clearspace measurement around the logo is the width of the crest.

Dos & Don'ts
Make sure the logo is legible.
If a logo doesn't read well, try changing to a different version.

Don't change the logo color.
If the logo colors don't work in your situation, try a different logo preset. Don't change the logo colors.

Don't stretch or reformat the logo.
This will hurt the visual consistency that makes the brand recognizable and memorable.

Typography
The River City Church brand utilizes two fonts, Cambon and Inter. Pairing the contemporary, classic-vibed serif font with an non-nonsense, functional sans-serif font creates a blend of old and new. Modern but grounded in the past.
Cambon Book is great for headlines and print body copy.
Inter is great for subheadlines, links, and website body copy.
Example
This is a Cambon Book headline
Here's a longer Inter subheadline or "deck copy." Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet consectitur amid.
This is Inter website body copy, consectetur adipiscing elit. Suspendisse varius enim in eros elementum tristique. Duis cursus, mi quis viverra ornare, eros dolor interdum nulla, ut commodo diam libero vitae erat. Aenean faucibus nibh et justo cursus id rutrum lorem imperdiet. Nunc ut sem vitae risus tristique posuere.
Cambon works great as body copy for print pieces. Suspendisse varius enim in eros elementum tristique. Duis cursus, mi quis viverra ornare, eros dolor interdum nulla, ut commodo diam libero vitae erat. Aenean faucibus nibh et justo cursus id rutrum lorem imperdiet.
General Rules
Cambon Book works best in sentence case.
It's Also Wonderful in Title Case
Sentence or title case makes the text more legible more quickly (and at greater distances!) due to the unique shapes, ascenders and descenders of the letterforms. Cambon has beautiful details in the letters, too, that only come out in these two cases.
ALL CAPS WORKS, TOO.
Capitalized Cambon is nice. It's strong and decorative—but use it a bit more sparingly and reserve it for shorter headlines.
Inter works best in sentence case.
It's a smooth read for web copy and great for links and buttons since it's different than Cambon (and thus distinct and "clickable").
Color
Blue-green is the primary brand color and is used for headlines and copy. Red is almost always an accent color, to be used sparingly. The rest of the palette can be mixed-and-matched and explored to find pleasant color combinations for your creative pieces. If ever in doubt, default to lightier, airier designs with hits of color.

Photography
River City Church's photography style is candid and spontaneous, rather than staged (unless showing portraits or a specific campaign aesthetic). We're giving people little glimpses into the genuine everyday moments of church, community, city life, and missions.
