The Pastoral Intern role will be focused on two key characteristics: character, and competency. To achieve this, they will work alongside the Senior Pastor, elders, and the Director of Groups to gain experience in pastoral ministry and help to provide leadership in particular areas of ministry in the church. Developing character and competency in pastoral ministry will meeting regularly with the Senior Pastor, and reading assigned books, teaching/preaching, implementing vision, discipleship, and overall leadership development.
Projects & Participation
Potential for preaching opportunities as need and giftings arise
Attend weekly sermon prep/feedback meetings
Assist Senior Pastor in pastoral ministry including discipleship, evangelism and counseling ministries
Assist Senior Pastor with special events including holiday services, weddings and funerals
